The ARCS Model was developed byJohn M. Keller in 1983 and is apllicable to learning in the digital age. This model attributes differences in student learning to the amount of effort the students were willing to put forth. He then cataloged four specific areas that could account for the differences in student effort. ISTE is a nonprofit group that promotes the use of technology to support and improve teaching and learning. Schools use computer now a days to teach the children of today on how to use technology so that when they are older they are aware of how to use certain products. The computers also support comunnications beyond the classroom walls therfore enabling schools and communities to provide an enviornment for cooperative learning and to develop higher level thinking skills.

Other then some of the basic computer skills I already knew I aquired a few more while taking the practice test on Windows XP. Although I knew how to do everything question but 2 those 2 new things were something that I took note of and will remember for future use.

There isn't really anything at this time that I can think of that I would like to mention about technology or discuss with the class.
